the Daffodil Family has achieved during the last couple of months.

Daffodil Alumni UK Reunion 2019 held in UK
Daffodil Alumni UK Reunion 2019 held today on February 24, 2019 at Palm Tree in London. Ms. Baroness Manzila Pola Uddin, Member of the House of Lords, UK was present in the program as the chief guest. Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Daffodil Family was present in the program as the special guest. Dr. Donald Slowan, Chairman, Oxford Cultural Connective, Mr. S M Zakaria Haque, Commercial Counselor of Bangladesh High Commission in UK and Dr. Azizur Rahman, Bangladeshi originated British Business man were present as the Guest of Honor in the program, Mr. Md. Nuruzzaman, Chief Executive Officer, Daffodil Family delivered the address of welcome. More than 100 Daffodil Alumni and their Family Members participated in the reunion program.

Dr. Md. Sabur Khan joined at WBAF World Congress 2019
Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, High-Commissioner for Bangladesh for World Business Angels Investment Forum (WBAF), and the Chairman, Daffodil International University joined the grand 3 day event ‘WBAF World Congress 2019’ at Istanbul, Turkey during 17 - 19 February 2019, with the theme, “Committed to Empowering Economic Development of the World”.

Mom-preneur Initiative has been formally announced
Daffodil Family formally announced Mom-preneur initiative to empower the women and particularly the kid’s mom of the country. The announcement has been given in a press conference held on 17th February at National Press Club, Bangladesh. The CEO of Daffodil Family Mr. Mohammad Nuruzzaman read the press note and and Mr. KM Hasan Ripon, advisor of Bangladesh Skill Development Institute answered different questions of Journalists.

A Seminar on ‘Cross Border Higher Education’ was held on Tuesday, 19 February 2019 at Bijoy Milonayoton, Daffodil International Academy (DIA). Conducted by Mohammad Nuruzzaman, CEO, Daffodil Family, as many as 170 foreign students of 11 Bangladeshi universities from 7 different countries along with the faculty members of DIA participated the program

Dr. Md. Sabur Khan inaugurates 16th AUAP Learning and Sharing Forum
Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Daffodil International University & Daffodil Group inaugurated the 16th AUAP Learning and Sharing Forum as Chief Guest on February 5, 2019, at Dakak Park and Beach Resort in Philippines hosted by Jose Rizal Memorial State University (JRMSU), Philippines. This is his first representation as 2nd Vice President of the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP).

DIU signs MoU with Bangladesh Agriculture University
To strengthen, promote and develop academic and research co-operation between Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) and Daffodil International University (DIU), a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on 11 February 2019 at the office of the Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), BAU campus Mymensingh. Mr. Md. Saiful Islam, Register, Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) and Prof. Eng. A. K. M. Fazlul Hoque, Registrar, DAFFODIL International University (DIU) signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institute.

Daffodil Family Annual Finance conference-2019
Annual Finance conference-2019 of Daffodil Family was held on December 29, 2019 at Banquet hall, Daffodil Tower, where Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Daffodil Family adorned the conference with his gracious presence as the Chief Guest and deliver an directive speech. Mohammad Nuruzzaman, CEO, Daffodil Family Chaired the program where all concern Heads & corporate Accounts personnel of Daffodil Family were also present.

Fun with the robots for Students in DIS
STEM Lab organized a show of Robots for the students of Daffodil International School, Dhanmondi and Sobhanbag branch. The robots were controlled by a programming
that directed robodance, roboexercise and interaction with the students in the presence of Principal Dr Md Mahmudul Hassan, Vice Principal Dr. Md. Masudur Rahman and teachers of DIS and My e-Kids.

Observance of International Mother Language Day by DIS Uttara
International Mother Language Day was celebrated by Daffodil International School - English Medium & English Version (DIS) with Youngsters of DIS, organized by UNIC Dhaka in association with DIS Uttara on the 21st February 2019 with events, enthusiasm and activities.

Annual Picnic of DPI/BSDI Held
The annual picnic of BSDI/DPI was held in Nahar Garden at Manikgonj, on February 13, 2019. The Institute took daylong event, with different kind of recreational activities. The entire event was organized by students in the support of the institute where there were Bus Rally, Concert, DJ, different types of sports event for Teachers & Students, Fashion Show, Fun Events & Raffle Draw. Mr. Mohammad Nuruzzaman CEO- Daffodil Family was present on the occasion as the Chief Guest and distributed awards among the winners. K M Hasan Ripon, Advisor, and Eng. Md. Azaharul Islam Principal of Daffodil Polytechnic Institute (DPI) were also present in the program. More than 9 hundred students and employees have joined the mega event.

Pitha Utshob held at DTI
A day-long spring celebration and traditional Pitha Utshob held at Daffodil Technical Institute (DTI) own premises on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 to celebrate the Pahela Falgun. The students and teachers of DTI organized the festival. Mr. Rathindra Nath Das, Executive Director inaugurated the program by expressing solidarity with the students.

DIS celebrated Pohela Falgun
Daffodil International School (EV) celebrated the first day of Falgun on 13th of February 2019 in a colourful manner. The management started the function with a chorus song performed by students followed by poem recitation, dance etc. This way the function continued. There was also a performance by the teachers.

Daffodil International School (DIS) observed the International Mother Language Day on the 21st February 2019 at its permanent campus.
The event started with homage to the great martyrs which was followed by an educative welcoming speech by Dr. Masudur Rahman, Vice Principal. Later on, a cultural segment was held by the students and teachers. Moreover, an Art Competition amongst the students was also took place based on the origin of Bangla Language and the sacrifice of the great martyrs who gave their lives fighting for our beloved Mother Language.

DIIT observed International Mother Language Day
With the evergreen song 'Amar bhaiyer rokte rangano Ekushey February' in their voices, all students of DIIT, Chattogram were swarming the Shaheed Minar in front of the Institute on the very early of 21st February 2019 to pay their earnest tribute to the Language heroes, along with throngs of people walking barefoot, singing songs of patriotism are paying homage to the Language Movement martyrs, who sacrificed their lived for mother tongue Bangla marking a day of supreme sacrifice.

All students of the department of BBA, faculty members & administration of Daffodil Institute of IT, Chattogram organized their Annual Picnic at Kaptai on 22 January 2019. More than 70 Students, faculty members & administration participated in the daylong program.

DIS organize Interbranch Annual Sports Day 2019
Daffodil International School- English Medium & English Version celebrated the Annual Sports Day-2019 on 31st January in the green, large field of DIU Permanent campus at Ashulia. Students of all the three branches of the school took part in variety of displays. Among these, one of the most eye-catching events was Karate display which was presented by DIS English Version students.

Bangladesh Venture Capital Ltd has organized a training session on 23rd January 2019 for the first time on “Legal Training for Startups” to protect precious Business ideas on this theme.

'DIU-INHA Entrepreneurship Program-2019’
Two week long (9-19 February 2019) ‘DIU-INHA Entrepreneurship Program-2019’ was concluded with a colorful closing ceremony today on 19 February, 2019 at 71 Milonayoton of Daffodil International University.A contingent of 12 students and 2 researcher from Inha University, South Korea along with 12 students from different Departments of Daffodil International University joined this Entrepreneurship Camp at Daffodil International University Bangladesh started on 9th January until today. This 24 students were divided into 4 groups and presented 4 Business Idea at closing ceremony. Team THUNDER was win the best Business Idea award.

DIU hosts Youth4SDG Asia Leadership Program 2019
Daffodil International University (DIU) hosted “Youth4SDG Asia Leadership Program 2019 “in Bangladesh organized by Youthink Center China with active participation of 18 talented students from 18 different universities in China. Under this program, the young leaders worked to create the social business plan after surveying different villages of Bangladesh under case study. They also visited the small enterprises, social business project, and had sessions on Social Business model Canvas etc. The program was held from 19 to 26 January 2019.

Sudoku Competition 2019
As a part of ICT carnival, DIA and Department of CIS jointly organized a Sudoku Competition which was held in Bijoy Milnayaton on 20 February 2019. A three members team of Bangladesh National Sudoku team attended as the Judges at the competition that encouraged the participants a lot.

Newtec Pharmaceuticals Ltd. celebrated the 15th Annual Sales Conference on 10th January, 2019 at Banquet Hall of Daffodil International University, Dhaka. Mohammad Nuruzzaman,CEO of Daffodil Family, was present as the Chief Guest while Khorshad Alam Khan, Managing Director, and Jahir Uddin, Deputy General Manager, DCL were also present.

Seminar on ‘IOT Research’ held at DIU
Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) in association with Computer Programming Club (CPC) of Daffodil International University organized a seminar on ‘IOT Research’ yesterday on 5th February, 2019 at 71 Milonayoton of the University. Mr. Ashiqul Islam Akand, Entreprise Architect & Senior Project Manager of Data Soft Systems Bangladesh Ltd. was present at the seminar as the keynote speaker. Dr. Sheak Rashed Haider Noori, Associate Professor and Associate Head, Department of CSE, Professor Dr. Md. Ismail Jabiullah, Professor, Department of CSE were also present at the seminar.

DIIT stall at Chattogram Education Expo 2019
For the first time in Chattogram, renowned Schools in the city participated in the Education Expo 2019 at Radisson Blu Chattogram Bay View on 16th February 2019 where Daffodil Institute of IT Chattogram participated highlighting their Diploma in Engineering Programs, BBA under national university and various Short Courses.
