the Daffodil Family has achieved during the last couple of months.

DIU CELEBRATES 17TH ANNIVERSARY
Daffodil International University (DIU) organised a two-day gala event on its Ashulia permanent campus to celebrate the university’s 17th founding anniversary. A weeklong inter-department sports competition, math Olympiad, inter-university cultural competition, IT quiz, project showcasing and exhibition were arranged. The main event included bus rally, pitha utsab, blood donation programme, discussion panels, picnic, tree plantation, games and sports, raffle draw, and musical soiree with participation of students.

SIAS International University Students Took Part at DIU Winter Camp 2019
Closing Ceremony of ‘DIU Winter Camp-2019’ of Daffodil International University (DIU) was held today at 71 Milonayoton of the university. A contingent of 35 students & 4 High Official in total 39 participants from SIAS International University China which is a dearest & active partner university of DIU joined the Winter Camp at Daffodil International University Bangladesh started from 16 January until 21 January 2019.

DIA organized Freshers and Graduates Reception
Daffodil International Academy (DIA) organized a "Freshers and Graduates Reception Program” on 16th January, 2019. In that occasion, the graduated students of University of Greenwich have also been recognized for their outstanding results. Honorable Chairman of Daffodil Family, Mr. Md Sabur Khan handed over the award among the students. . A warm reception of the freshers was held at DIA Campus on the same day.

BSDI Inaugurated F&B Production Lab
Bangladesh Skill Development Institute has developed a modern Food & Beverage Production Lab for the students of Hotel and Tourism Management Dept. From now the students of Hospitality management can avail professional equipment during their practical classes. This facility will help them to learn the modern day's food preparation, food preservation, etc. which are used in the restaurant through this state of the art lab.

DTI Distributed Warm Cloth among Distressed People
Even though the winter is welcomed by the privileged wealthy people by colourful pashminas and festive moods, it brings a lot of sufferings to the poor people of our country. Quite sadly, many poor people in our country cannot afford to buy warm clothes for winter. In this scenario, women and children especially suffer more. For this reason, the Students and employee of Daffodil Technical Institute have distributed warm cloth to the street people in Dhaka city.

DIS achieves 100% success in PEC & JSC
Daffodil International School (DIS) -English Version has done excellent with its 100% success with A+ and A in both PEC and JSC examination. The school authority congratulate the students and wish them best. In the view of the parents, this result could be achieved because of hard work, homely caring and efficient teaching from the teachers, apart from the hard work of the students.

DIU Topped in Bangladesh at UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2018
Daffodil International University has achieved the top position in Bangladesh and 158th position in the world in ‘UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2018’ and added another milestone to its continuous global recognition initiative. Wageningen University & Research, Netherlandshas been ranked first in 2018 ranking list. DIS Students Received Edexcel High Achievers
Rafiza Mirza (IGCSE) and Fida Waseq Chowdhury (IAL) of DIS EM Uttara branch achieved 8 A with 7 A* and 4 A with 1 A* respectively on the occasion of Edexcel High Achievers' Award ceremony at Hall of Fame, BICC, Dhaka on Friday, 25 January 2019.

DaffodilMUN-2019 Conference Held at Daffodil International University
3-day conference of ‘Daffodil International Model UN Conference 2019 (DaffodilIMUN'19)’ with a theme "Engaging Youth for Initiating World Peace through Peace Dialogue" is going to be held from 17th-19th January, 2019 at Daffodil International University. Mr. M. Humayun Kabir, former Ambassador of the People's Republic of Bangladesh to the United States has given consent to inaugurate the seminar as the chief guest on 17th January.

Bijoy Milonayaton Inaugurated
On 16th January 2019 (Wednesday), the grand opening ceremony of the Bijoy Milonayoton was held at Daffodil International Academy (DIA), which was inaugurated by Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, DIA and Daffodil Family. Among others, Mohammad Nuruzzaman, CEO, Daffodil Family, respected heads,of Daffodil Family, students and employees of DIA were present on this occasion. It is here to mention that one of the commitment of Daffodil Family is to ensure all required services and facilities which are essential for providing academic programs.

Winter clothes distribution by DISS
Daffodil Institute of Social Sciences (DISS) has distributed winter clothes in three different Places in our country in Dinajpur, Panchagarh and Kamrangirchar, Dhaka among more than 10 thousand poor people as ASR activities under Daffodil International University (DIU) in January 2019. DISS, Change Together Club & Directorate of Students' Affairs (DSA), of DIU team jointly distributed these clothes. Distribution program was organised by Nirmegh Foundation and with the support of DISS. A total of 35 volunteers of DISS participated the distribution program.

DPI Announced Work Based Scholarship for Students
Daffodil Polytechnic Institute has launched work based scholarship for its students. This program will run under Job placement cell (JPC) of the institute. This initiative will help the students to get hands on training on job skills, help them to get professional experiences and earn professional experiences. Most importantly it will help them to get skills as industry requirement and make them job ready.

Annual sports & prize awarding ceremony-2019 of Daffodil International College was held on 19th January. It was a daylong event where Students, Teachers, Officers and all Staffs spontaneously participated There were many attractive events and and DIC family members enjoyed the day at the fullest. The event was held at the beautiful green campus of Daffodil International University.

Startup Idea Fund Initiated at Daffodil International University
The Final Pitching Session of “Startup Idea for Fund” Season-01 was held on 21stJanuary, 2019 at Auditorium-71 of Daffodil International University where 14 groups of Entrepreneurs presented their final pitching in front of judges, investors and prospective entrepreneurs. More than one hundred innovative ideas were submitted out of which only fifty six (56) ideas were shortlisted.

DCL-BBS Signed MOA
A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed between BBS Cables Ltd. & Daffodil Computers Ltd. (DCL) on 6th January 2019 at the Corporate Office of the BBS Cables Ltd. Under this agreement, Dolphin Digital & BPO, a sister concern of DCL will provide e-Commerce site & web solutions support for BBS. Mr. Engr. Mohammad Badrul Hasan, Chairman, BBS handed over the MoA copy to Mr. Reaz uddin Ahmed, Business Development Manager, DCL. Mr. Monwarul Islam Rebel, Director, Dolphin Digital & BPO, Mr. Shahjalal Khandoker, Sr. Executive IT, BBS and other officials were present on the MoA signing ceremony.

Orientation Program of F & B Production and Entrepreneurship Development Program Held at BSDI
Bangladesh Skill Development Institute has started a project on “Food & Beverage Production and Entrepreneurship Development”, under the supervision of BWCCI - SEIP “implemented by the Finance Division of the Ministry of Finance, Bangladesh Government. In this project, 5000 women will be trained in the same trade to develop as an Entrepreneur. On 9th January 2018, an orientation program was held at BSDI. Mr. Sayed Sultan Chand, Chief Coordinator, BWCCI-SEIP project, Mr. K. M. Hasan Ripon, Advisor, BSDI, Mr. K. M Parvez Boby, Sr. Assistant Director, BSDI and officials, and participants were present.

Thinking about those entrepreneurs, Bangladesh Venture Capital Ltd has organized a training session on 23rd January 2019 for the first time on “Legal Training for Startups” to protect precious Business ideas.
