Dr. Md. Sabur Khan receives Honorary Doctorate of Georgian Caucasus University
Dr. Kakha Shengelia, President, Caucasus University (CU) in presence of Mr. Archil Talakvadze, Chairperson of the parliament and the speaker of the House in the parliament of the Georgia conferring the “Honorary Doctor of Caucasus University” (Doctor Honoris Causa) upon Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Founder and Chairman, Daffodil International University (DIU), Bangladesh on 19th July, 2019 on the Annual Graduation Ceremony of Caucasus University.

Mompreneurs Haat
To empower the Mother and develop them as an Entrepreneur “Mompreneur Haat” a day long event was organized. The objective of the event was to give a scope to the creative mothers to marketise their product. ‘Mompreneurs Haat’ was inaugurated by the chief guest Madam Shamima Shahriar, Honorable Member of Parliament, the People's Republic of Bangladesh at 71 Milanayoton, DIU on 21st July, 2019, Sunday, at 9:30 am.

‘Get in the Ring 2019-2020’ Kicked off for the 3rd time in Bangladesh
National Final of ‘Get In the Ring 2019-2020’ Bangladesh chapter a global startup competition in Dhaka began in the country from today on July 27, 2019. Daffodil International University (DIU) will host the Bangladesh National Final of Get in the Ring for the first time in the country.

SQAT Bangladesh Symposium 2019
With a view to developing skilled manpower for the IT industry, Daffodil International Academy (DIA) organized ‘SQAT Bangladesh Symposium 2019 on 13th-14th July 2019 at Bijoy Milonayaton of DIA to amplify quality engineering in software testing. Mr. M Manjur Mahmud, Director and COO of Datasoft presented the keynote speech at during the inaugural session.

Interact Club of Daffodil International School attended the Tree Plantation program jointly organized by the Rotary and Rotaract Club of Dhaka Midtown and Rotaract Club of Daffodil International University on 27 July 2019. The event was held at the Ashulia campus of Daffodil International University.

‘Grand Final of DIU Reading Competition & Inauguration of DIU Reader’s Club’ were held today on 24 July, 2019 at Banquet Hall of Daffodil International University (DIU). Ismat Jahan Nabila, student of Electrical & Electronic Engineering Department became champion while TanzinaAkther Trisha, student of Pharmacy Department became 1st runner up and Ikteder Islam, student of English Department became 2nd runner up in this competition.

“Foundation Class” for the new students of DTI
The“Foundation Class” for the newly admitted students at Daffodil Technical Institute (DTI) held on Saturday, 06 July, 2019 at Bijoy Milonayaton, Daffodil Concord Tower. Mr. Mohammad Nuruzzaman, Chief Executive Officer, Daffodil Family was present as the Chief Guest and Mr. Rathindra Nath Das, Executive Director & Principal, Daffodil Technical Institute (DTI) presided over the program.

Intra-Branch Spelling and Quiz Competition 2019-20
Daffodil International School English Medium, Dhanmondi Branch organized their Intra-branch Quiz and Spelling Competition 2019-20 on 25 July 2019, Thursday. The competition was held in 2 sections, Grade 1 to 2 and Grade 3 to 5. Students participated in a very competitive mood and their team spirit was overwhelming. The Principal at DIS, Dr Muhammad Mahmudul Hassan, ACO Ms. Jenat Jahan, and all senior teachers were present there.

Workshop on "Use of Scopus, Science Direct, and Publications" held at DIU
A workshop on the "Use of Scopus and Science Direct, and Bibliographic Management System Mendeley for Research and Publications" was held on 7 July, 2019 at the Banquet Hall of Daffodil International University (DIU). Division of Research, Daffodil International University organized the workshop as understanding Elsevier e-resources and Mendeley for research and publications is very important for DIU researchers as Scopus publications and their citation have positive impact on various world university rankings.

A workshop titled “QS Masterclass on University Rankings & Ratings”was held during July 09, 2019 at 10.00 a.m. at the Council Bhaban of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). The workshopwas facilitated by Mr. Ashwin Fernandez, Regional Director – Middle East, North Africa & South Asia, QS Quacquarelli Symonds, UK.

DIC ‘Orientation Program’ of newly admitted students
On July 1, 2019, an Orientation program of the students of class XI ( session: 2019-20) was held at 71 Milonayoton at 10.00 am. Prof AMM Hamidur Rahman (Dean, Faculty of Humanities & Social Science, DIU) was present as the Chief Guest while Mr. Sayed Mijanur Rahman Raju (Director of Students’ Affairs, DIU) was present as special guest.

ANDROID AND IOS APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT TRAINING AT DIIT
To enable Bangladesh to enter this multibillion dollar marketplace and to develop the necessary skills to compete in this field, the IT and Communications Ministry of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh has taken up the project; ‘Skill Development for Mobile Game & Application Program’.

A parents meeting was held on 2nd August 2019 at Milonayoton 71 organized by Daffodil Polytechnic Institute (DPI). All the parents of newly admitted students of Daffodil Polytechnic Institute were present there. In the meeting the parents and teachers discussed to fnd out the best way for the student’s to be successful in their life.

Medical Camping at CHD
OOn July 10, 2019 camping of health awareness for the student was held at the College of Human Resource Development (CHD) Uttara Campus, in collaboration with DRONE, the mother club of CHD. Some Doctors from Cardio Care Specialized and General Hospital, a concern of Daffodil Family, came for the camping.

MOU Signed between Frobel Academy & DIIT
Daffodil Institute of IT, Chattogram signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Frobel Academy to introduce my e-kids program for kids age level 4-17 years. Mr. Md. Faruque Islam, Principal of DIIT, Chattogram and Mrs. HuwraZohair, Principal of Frobel Academy, Chattogram signed the MOU on behalf of their respective organization.
