Daffodil International University hosts 21st ICSQCC'18
21st International Convention on Students Quality Control Circles-2018 (ICSQCC-2018) based on the theme of “Quality Education for Global Peace and Sustainable Development”, held during May 03-06, 2018 in Bangladesh at permanent campus, DIU where around 1000 participants including 500 foreign students and delegates from USA, UK, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Pakistan, Mauritius and some other countries were present.

First Soft Skill Fest 2018
Bangladesh Skill Development Institute (BSDI) organized a daylong ‘Soft Skill Fest’ at Daffodil International University. Mr. Musharrof Hossain, Founder President of Federation of Bangladesh Human Resource Organization was inaugurated the fest as chief guest today on 15 September 2018 at 71 Milonayoton of the university. Presided over by Mr. Mohammad Nuruzzaman, Group CEO of Daffodil Family, the inaugural program was also addressed by Mr. KM Hasan Ripon, Advisor of BSDI and Mr. Moinuddin Choudhury, CEO of Society for Leadership Skill Development (SLSD).

Parents Meeting Held at DTI
The parents’ meeting was held at Daffodil Technical Institute (DTI). The objective of the meeting is to share effective ways to ensure better learning and performance of the students. Both the teachers, students and parents discuss on students’ performance and to increase cooperation between them. Mr. Rathindra Nath Das, Principal and Executive Director, DTI. Mr. Moazzem Hossain Rubel, Deputy Academic Director, DTI were present at the meeting.

iPLS Teachers’ training
Having been concerned about teachers’ professional development, DIS has taken step to enhance teachers’ quality through a 3-days long face-to-face iPLS course organized by Pearson Edexcel Training Centre. Teachers of Daffodil International School attended this training on both i-Primary and i-Lower Secondary in English, Math and Science at BRAC Inn Centre on 5, 7 and 8 July. The newly developed i-Primary and i-Lower Secondary Curriculum has been introduced to the teachers. An overview of i-PLS curriculum and its components have been demonstrated throughout the session along with i-PLS materials. Moreover, a certificate has also been provided for attending the training session

DIC Shown Brilliant Performance in HSC
This year DIC Chandpur Campus has received outstanding result in HSC Exams. The pass rate is 95.12 which is best in Upazilla level and 3rd in the district. Total 82 students sat for the exams and 78 students passed successfully. Two students obtained GPA 5 (A+). It may be mentioned here that this is the first time DIC Chandpur students appeared the board exams and shown the brilliant performance.

Job Placement Cell Inaugurated at DPI
In order to create job opportunities for the alumni and existing students of Daffodil Polytechnic Institute a Job Placement Cell has been launched officially. The objective of JPC is to help student to find their desired job and link up with industries for ensuring students competencies as industry standard. JPC will work closely with Skill.Job for student’s employment generation.
Mohammad Nuruzzaman, C. E. O. of Daffodil Family formally launched JPC where Mr. K. M. Hasan Ripon, Advisor of Daffodil Polytechnic Institute, Engineer Mohammad Azharul Islam, Principal of Daffodil Polytechnic Institute, Mr. Abdullah Al Mamun Badshah, Operational Manager of skill.job were also.

DCL brought largest Interactive Smart Board in BD Market
Daffodil Computers Ltd. brought the largest Interactive White Board in the market. The smart board has all the latest feature of the time including 4-KU HD resolution, core i-5 CPU, 4GM Ram, 500 GB Hard Disk. The board also contains Infrared Touch Sensor (Both Pen and Finger can be used) where four users can work at a time. The board also supports duel operating systems and windows 10. Youth 4SDG Asia Leadership Program 2018
8-day long Youth for Sustainable Development Goal (Youth4SDG) Asia Leadership Program 2018 was held at Ashulia Permanent Campus, DIU Bangladesh from August 8-16, 2018 organized by Youthink Center, China. Around 16 students from different grades of China attended this program, where the young leaders worked to create the social business plan after surveying different case studies.

My e-Kid is a technology learning center
My e-Kid is a technology learning center that gives the Kid a freedom to explore, exercise and develop their cognitive skills. It has different modules, for example –
e-CEO, where students assume the role of a Chief Executive Officer. They simulate the responsibilities of a real CEO. And, by performing those tasks they will gain such knowledge that otherwise would be impossible. Some other programs are:
