The three-day Daffodil Captain Cup Golf Tournament held from October 17 to 19, 2018 at Kurmitola Golf Club. Lieutenant General Md. Shafiqur Rahman, Chief of General Staff, Bangladesh Army formally inaugurated and closed the event as the Chief Guest. The event started with the tee-off session By Honorable Chairman of Daffodil Family DrMdSabur Khan. In different categories a total 500+ Golfer both Male and Female took part in the tournament. The event ended up with a grand prize giving ceremony and cultural show by DIU Cultural Club where top Army Officials and spouses took part and graced the occasions.

Fresher’s Reception program of class XI students (session: 2018-19) of Daffodil International College was held. Prof. Dr. M. Harun-ur-Rashid, College inspector of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka, was present as the Chief Guest of the program. After the formal session a cultural program was held where DIC students performed.

BazlulKabir, Tax Commissioner, Dr. Masum Iqbal, Dean, Faculty of Business & Entrepreneurship (FBE), Professor Dr. A. K. M. FazlulHaque, Associate Dean, Faculty of Engineering (FE), Professor Dr. Ahmad Ismail Mustafa, Dean, Faculty of Allied Health Science, Professor A. M.M. Daffodil International School, Uttara hosted its 7th Annual Science Fair 2018 and My e-Kids Competition on a bright and sunny Tuesday, 16th October 2018. In continuation to its previous success, the students of KG to Grade – 9 took part in this year’s Fair as well. They examined in a wide variety of exciting experiments. Participants could switched their brains on and tried to beat the challenge.

TMinistry of ICT of Peoples Republic of Bangladesh has taken an initiative to provide free training to 16000 youths in order to enhance their expertise on mobile game and application development. The prime objective of this initiative is to enable Bangladesh to expand the local market & to enter into international market by creating well trained human resource based on modern technology. The duration of the course will be 50 days (200 hours)

Bangladesh Venture Capital Limited & Department of Innovation and Entrepreneurship jointly introduced “Makerspace” for all entrepreneurial-minded students of Daffodil Family. With this initiative, students from inside and outside the Daffodil Family will be able to implement their ideas.

Some selected students from both Daffodil International School (DIS) and Daffodil My e-Kids Dhanmondi branch participated and achieved remarkable positions in ‘3rd National Girls Programming Contest-2018’ held on 22 October 2018 at 71 Milonayoton, Daffodil Tower, Dhanmondi, Dhaka, organized by DIU in association with Ministry of Post, Telecommunication and IT and supported by Bangladesh Computer Council

Daffodil Institute of Social Sciences (DISS) organized a daylong session for the disadvantaged children in the title ’’Special Session to Make Psychographic Profile” at Daffodil International University. The session was conducted by Mr. Syed Mizanur Rahman Raju Head at GED Department where Dr. Md. Sabur Khan was present at the Chief Guest and Ms. JhenJecklin Costa, and Ms. EffatAraParvin were also present. Total 30 participants attended the session.
